I just returned from the Annual CASCA (Canadian Anthropology Society) Conference which took place in Toronto this year. I had organized a panel with a few colleagues of mine about music, hoping we could get those music-deficiant anthropologists to open their ears and go beyond texts and photos for a couple of hours. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. We are thinking of pitching our papers for publication ( as a theme for an academic journal).
